Poderosas ideologías norteamericanas como tolerancia cero y seguridad ciudadana desatan en Chile el temor y la sospecha contra una pobreza cada vez más criminalizada. Los �ilegalismos� de los pobres son administrados por la sociedad y principalmente por la cárcel, �institución-depósito� para los que turban el orden, ubicada en la mano derecha del Estado neoliberal. En la cárcel las vidas penden de un hilo y si se muere en condiciones brutales se habla de su �fracaso�, tal como sucedió con el reciente incendio de la cárcel de San Miguel. Sin embargo, dicho fracaso constituye su éxito. La comunicación que presento propone reflexionar sobre las cárceles chilenas y su estrecho vínculo con la pobreza.

The discrimination experienced on a daily basis by the children of Peruvian immigrants in Chile, as a result of the condition and origin of their parents, favors a socialization that fuses the stigma with the desire of integration, configuring thus a particular habitus. From a qualitative work, we preliminarily conclude that the racism included in this discrimination, hinders their insertion, at the same time however, it reinforces their desire to live in Chile.

ABSTRACT This piece concerns the critical voices of 3 women researchers that examine and reflect about the Chilean educational system using the case of color Latin American students, in the context and from a current perspective of their public universities in Chile. Public policies in education, integration and segregation, challenges and current problems present or that could ocurr in our classrooms are included in this piece using experimental writing as a critical approach to tell, break silences, and as a way to evoke and provoke audiences. Taking a step towards action against social injustice and conservative nationalism and racism in the academia.
